i didn't see an introduction forum anywhere but i thought it would be weird to start posting without first introducing myself so, here we are.
i'm 15, and i've been looking for a place to discuss my thoughts on the religion that i'm pretty much stuck in at the moment.
my mom and dad divorced over their different beliefs over a year ago (my mom is jw and my dad is an very knowledgeable apostate, so you can see how they would fight over it), and since then i've stopped believing altogether.. just thought i'd say hello.
Thomas welcome. It sadden me to think you are 15 years old, an age when you
should be enjoying your youth. There are so many here that was raised in that organization
and it was the worst time in their life. We hope we can help in anyway to make your youth a
pleasurable time.

there was a time that one could, if they dug deep enough, come up with the answer that jw’s teach that one is “saved” by grace or the nwt preferred “undeserved kindness.” for instance, in the reasoning book p. 360 under the heading “salvation” there is a sub-heading under the section, “if someone says”: ‘are you saved?’ here is what it says you could say if someone asks, “are you saved?’ you might reply: ‘so far, i am.’…….
the conclusion being, you are saved right now.
and yes, you need to remain faithful, but you are right now in a saved state.
Grace_ God giving us what we don't deserve.
Underserved Kindness---God not giving us what is deserved.
l thought this would be an interesting exercise to read the different responses.
my question is what makes you think your gods chosen medium?and prove it.
however, i haven't found any evidence to support that belief.. have you?

i don't post here too much..i am more of a lurker.
but, wanted to share recent conversation with jw family member.. one of my jw relatives recently went to visit another jw relative that is "serving where the need is great",.
when my jw relative returned home and i was talking with him, who is an older jw who has been in for over 50 years, was so excited to tell me about the special talk.
LOL EndofMysteries. When I was elder serving in another state I was home for a visit, so talking
with my brother who was the treasurer of his Church I was bragging about my duties in the congregation.
One of my duties was taking care of the funds in the congregation. He told me what the
church had in its saving account and what they take in each Sunday. omg..Hell they gave out
more in charities in a year than all the KH in our circuit had in their saving account.
